Senior Account Manager (Oncology)

International medical communication and strategic marketing agency in the field of oncology, hematology and supportive care, is seeking a Scientific Content Manager due to opening Moscow office.

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or life sciences
  • A minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in publishing, pharmaceuticals or biotech, and/or marketing communications. A background or experience in account and client management is preferred
  • Significant experience in oncology / hematology
  • The ability to establish and work within deadlines, while maintaining flexibility
  • Strong linear thinking skills and process and systems orientation
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Punctual, responsive, and reliable
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, and able to work in a start-up environment
  • Computer proficiency in Word. Excel Power Point, Microsoft Outlook, and research
  • Ability and willingness to travel to clients, scientific congresses and other events.

Project and Client Management

  • Lead multiple projects at one time
  • Point of contact for external client and internal teams
  • Modify and review task orders from client
  • Ownership of timeline and status with Account Services team
  • Handle issues that occur during the project and analyze impact to timeline
  • Assist in development of and maintain adherence to marketing strategy
  • Ensure project kick-off occurs in timely fashion and involves appropriate team representatives
  • Oversee internal meetings and meeting agendas
  • Facilitate weekly status meetings with clients and develop agenda for those meetings
  • Day-to-day client instruction and relationships (foster and nurture client relationships)
  • Schedule client meetings, and KOL interaction
  • Draft contact reports from client/author teleconferences as appropriate
  • Review of all deliverables, whether content based or other
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards (accurate, on time, on budget)
  • Guide creative direction to ensure client needs are met
  • Assist with aspects of new business development (i.e., pitches, pitch deck development, responses to RFP's).

Business Development

  • Execution of the Business Development plans, as directed by the General Manager
  • Develop presentations for capability/pitch presentations with support from client services, clinical and logistics planning teams
  • Maintain existing client relationships and seek new opportunities for additional expansion beyond initial project
  • Continuously identify innovative opportunities to enhance company’s capabilities to drive future sales growth and differentiation
  • Implement processes and work with clinical and account management teams to help identify new business opportunities based on key events an data following major congresses.

Budget Management

  • Fiscal monitoring, reconciliation and accountability of project from start to completion
  • Assist with development of annual, monthly forecast and staffing plan
  • Complete budget reconciliations
  • Communicate budget info to client as needed
